Meet Your Care Team

Dynamic Physical Therapy & Wellness was founded and is spearheaded by Peter Yeager and Elizabeth Perlstein, two Huntington residents and highly experienced physical therapists, each with over 25 years in the field. As former athletes who still lead active lifestyles, Peter's and Elizabeth's mission is to help each member of their community heal and thrive.

Peter Yeager, MS PT

After receiving his Masters in Physical Therapy from Mercy College, Peter worked as an adjunct professor at Nassau Community College's Physical Therapy Assistant program. Afterwards he worked at Glen Cove Hospital for over ten years where he was able to apply his physical therapy expertise in the treatment of a wide range of conditions, such as neurological disorders, multi-traumas, and orthopedic procedures including total joint replacements.

Peter is an avid athlete. In addition to playing college football, he was also a competitive triathlete and bodybuilder, winning the World Natural Bodybuilding Federation Championship in 2009! His passion for sports extends to his career as he deals extensively with general orthopedic and sports injuries. He loves working with all types of athletes, from pee-wee leagues to professional teams.

Elizabeth Perlstein, MAPT, DPT

Elizabeth Perlstein earned her Masters in Physical Therapy from Touro College and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Shenandoah University. She has practiced physical therapy in a vast spectrum of settings - from schools to acute and long-term rehabilitation facilities. Her forte is outpatient orthopedics where she works with a wide variety of patients and diagnoses.

Elizabeth's interest in physical therapy stemmed from her passion for an active lifestyle. She was a student-athlete at University of Maryland where she played Division 1 lacrosse and was part of the 1992 Women's Lacrosse National Championship Team. As a Huntington resident, she can be found running, biking and swimming competitively in local triathlons and road races. In fact, she was named 2011 Runner's Edge Female Short-Course Triathlete of the Year!
